Community Stabilization

HomeSteps' goal is to maintain and sell its properties in a timely manner to preserve local property values and help stabilize communities.

All vendors selling and servicing our homes are required to adhere to our HomeSteps Good Neighbor Practices to ensure that within three business days of coming into our inventory:

  • The home is secure.
  • Trash has been removed from the interior/exterior.
  • The lawn is properly maintained and followed up by weekly maintenance.
  • Exterior/interior cleaning is initiated.

Property Donations

If you are a nonprofit, local city/county government or other entity engaged in community stabilization activities and are interested in the potential donation of a Freddie Mac REO home, please contact us at NCST_team@freddiemac.com.
